Vinnie will be attending the 2012 NAMM show
and will be signing autographs at the Dean guitars booth on Saturday January 21st and Sunday 22nd 2012
He will be playing the Dean Guitars jam at The Grove in Anaheim, CA on Friday, January 20th.
His band will be the same line-up as the one performed last summer at the Iridium in New York City (see July entry below)
with John JD Deservio (Black Label Society) on bass, Richie Monica (Tantric) on drums, and Mike DiMeo (Riot)
on keyboards and vocals.
News posted yesterday on the UFO Official website, regarding the bands new album release
Seven Deadly will be issued by SPV/Steamhammer as a limited edition digipak (incl. 2 bonus tracks),
a Double Gatefold LP with printed innersleeves and coloured vinyl, standard edition and download.

Vinnie heads home for a well earned rest, having been on-the road with UFO from September
then straight into the studio to record the new UFO album, 'Seven Deadly' and back on the road
for the solo European tour. Prior to all this, UFO toured the East coast (USA) before touring Germany
in the Summer cumulating at HellFest in France.
A solo appearnce at the Iridium in New York and recorded two episodes of 'That Metal Show'
on the West Coast makes this year one of the busiest ever. The UFO album was written during the year
so all and all a very busy time for VM.
The madness will start again in late February 2012 as the band kick of the tour on the 'Monsters of Rock Cruise'
to co-incide with their planned album release.

GUITAR WORLD - LICK OF THE DAY
Guitar World post their 'Lick of The Day' yesterday on Youtube and it has already had over 5,000 hits
Great for VM fans as its from the latest solo album 'To The core'' - one of my favourites, 'Off The Hook'.
It's a funky-sounding, Jimi Hendrix-inspired riff that features strummed octaves, double-stops,
pull-offs, subtle bends and fret-hand muting.
When playing through the lick's funky, syncopated rhythms,
Vinnie uses a pick-hand technique called "16th-note pendulum strumming." Pendulum strumming involves maintaining
a constant down-up-down-up strumming or picking motion regardless of whether or not every 16th-note rhythm is played.
As you can observe in the picking prompts, any chord or note that falls on the first or third 16th note (including eighth notes)
receives a downstroke, while any note falling on the second or fourth 16th note is played with an upstroke.
For rhythmic durations longer than a 16th note let the pick hand pass over the strings without touching them,
effectively producing a silent "ghost" strum while the previous note(s) continues to ring.
The bends are all performed by pulling the strings in toward the palm slightly.
The tempo is 115 beats per minute, 90 for slow practice.

VINNIE MOORE The RMA is proud to welcome the world renowned Vinnie Moore for a Master Class and clinic on April 9th, 2011. During his Master Class beginning at 2:30 pm, students will have the opportunity to receive direct instruction and interaction. In a class like this, you can gain all kinds of new ideas and perspective by learning from Vinnie's approach to playing guitar. It's an opportunity that is rare and valuable to those able to participate and there's a chance you'll be able to jam with Vinnie on stage. His evening clinic at 7:30 pm is where Vinnie will perform and take questions from the crowd about his playing, his touring and his musical experience. This is an inspirational evening of music you will not want to miss. Vinnie is considered one of the top players in the world and his playing is sure to ignite a fire in all guitarists. As a performer, Vinnie Moore's resume is impressive. A member of Alice Cooper's band, he toured the U.S. on the Operation Rock'N'Roll tour, and also performed on Alice's album Hey Stoopid. Vinnie's own band has toured extensively as a headliner and also was chosen as opening act for legendary rockers Rush on the Northeast leg of their Roll The Bones Tour. Vinnie also toured Japan as a member of the T.M. Stevens' band, which included Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic) on keyboards, Wil Calhoun (Living Color) on drums, and Al Pitrelli (Megadeth) on guitar. Vinnie has done hundreds of guitar clinics all over the world including such places as, Japan, Scandanavia, Italy, Poland, Mexico, Canada, New Zealand, England, Germany and Australia. In 2003, Vinnie joined the legendary group UFO and is still currently with the band. Please note: Those who attend both the Master Class and clinic will be entered in the drawing for the Xotic Effects pedal and Port City Sahana Boost pedal giveaways.

10 track instrument l 'METALUSION' on Magna Carta records - April 5th 2011
Track 1 - Ground Zero has special guest appearance - Vinnie Moore.
'Ground Zero' will be released as a solo single, "Ground Zero" , through iTunes
Magna Carta Records will press a very limited amount of CD copies, which will be available
through Amazon.com.
This single will also feature a alternate version of the song, which contains different solos from
Glen and Jim Gilmour (keyboards), as well as a different mix.

Now in its 10th year, the annual DOA meeting held in Tampa, FL gives DOA members a weekend of guitars, music, friendship, food, spirits, an exclusive tour of DEAN GUITARS USA HEADQUARTERS and CUSTOM SHOP and a chance to rub shoulders and even rock out with their favorite Dean Artists.
