14th February - London - Camden - The Underworld

What a great evening - The selection of songs were spot on and the two highlight tracks for me personally

were 'Over My Head' and 'Off the Hook' from Vinnies latest album, 'To The Core'.

'Over My Head' was played with such passion and feel.

'Off The Hook' has a great grooze and vibe live. Two great songs that fitted within the set seamlessly

Mike DiMeo wrote lyrics to the instrumental 'Midnight Rain' and it was awesome to witness this live.

Vinnie has surrounded himself with three amazing muscians, Mike DiMeo, Lars Lehmann and Aquiles Priester.

They worked so well as a band and clearly enjoyed not only being on-stage together but also sharing

their company off-stage. I was lucky enough to meet all band members and they were a joy to be with.

A great mix of guys from around the world:

Lars Lehmann on Bass from Hannover in Germany,

Mike DiMeo on vocals and keyboards from New York,

Aquiles Priester from Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Four tracks were covers, my favourite being the DP number, 'Maybe I'm a Leo'.

Mike sang the Paul Rogers numbers brilliantly (All Right Now by Free) and Rock Steady (Bad Company).

For all other tracks Mike played Keys.

Aquiles Priester played an amazing Drum Solo that left the crowd in awe.

Lars Lehmann played bass with complete feel and passion that was needed on Vinnies songs and he

was clearly eenjoying every number, smiling and interacting with the audience.

All amazing and inspiring muscians.

Vinnie never dissapoints, always showing his love for his instrument and fans alike.

It was also great to catch up with Martin (many of you will know Martin as he handles the sound for UFO),

and is responsible for this VM solo tour - again the sound was faultless, great work.

Lovely to see Kate again and to catch up and to meet photographer, Alli for the first time.

Thanks to the promoters Darryl and Neil from FaBluSis Promotions

Onto the photo's, a difficult venue to film as the lighting was prodimately red light, which

is notoriously unforgiving. I have had to resort to my favourite companion, photoshop

to try and compensate and have built a few 'Panoramic Shots' by stitching photos together

Enjoy the show, Thanks to the band for making me, my daughter and her boyfriend welcome
