Just got back from a great weekend away.

highlights for me:

Vinnie Moore
California Guitar Trio
Slashes gig.

Actually it was all good. A lot of the action was a bit loose with different artists struggling with unfamiliar material,
which is one of the reasons I enjoyed Slash's set so much, he had his band and
they rocked! Jennifer Batten playing to backing tracks gets a big thumbs down.

--

The real highlight was Saturday night. All bands played fairlywell, even if I didn't really like the heavy metal one.
Vinnie Moore was awesome and I hadn't heard of him much before the night.
Jennifer Batten was quite weird but held her ground even if she was using a macbook as backing tracks.

--

Im not really a slash fan and he didn't really impress me at all, but I couldn't help but think Miles Kennedy delivered some
excellent vocals and has a better voice and attitude than Axl, but yea,Friday was awesome,
really impressed by the young girl who just looked like she was having a blast, refreshing to see after the more
serious types, Uli was class as usual, Vinnie brought back the 80s shred, In Dread Response also impressed
me though I thought they had the most muddy mix of the weekend.
