2009 - In SUMMARY
2009 has ben a very busy and productive year for Vinnie Moore, both as a solo artist and as a member of the rock band UFO
In total, UFO take in sixty seven dates, covering some 15,000 miles (over half way around the world over 6 months):
13 UK, 31 European (Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium and Sweden) and 23 USA dates

It has been several years since we last heard a solo record from Vinnie Moore, but now the wait is finally over for his fans as “To The Core” has been just released to wide spread acclaim. “To The Core” features shred guitar, which Moore is known for, but this time around he has fused a lot more interesting musical passages, riffs, solos and a picking style that’ll leave the listener in a state of awe. Oh yes, it’s not just technical, it’s well played and executed instrumental rock music that’ll get you tapping your feet to his every beat. Musically, Moore has definitely taken the pains to put together something very well produced and out of the ordinary. Seeing that the album was recorded at his home studio, “To The Core” speaks volumes of musical perfection and bliss.

Cornford Hurricane Combo Footswitch is included - Vinnie will sign the amp if requested
The second item for sale,
Rivera 100 Watt Knucklehead owned by Vinnie Moore since 1997. This head was modded for Vinnie by Paul Rivera. The mod changed the overall EQ. A few small caps were changed to tweak the tone. Footswitch is included. 4 - EL34 Power Tubes. Used only in home studio. Vinnie will also sign this if requested |

Vinnie has just completed a 20-date tour with UFO, covering Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Holland and the UK.
He will be back in Germany later this week for the Mossinger Rockt Open Air Festival

Vinnie Moore is back with another instrumental album that features his amazing powers on the six-string.
Moore is a human dynamo on every song. He has it all: Power, grace, subtlety and in-yer-face insanity.
Instrumental albums can be difficult to review as what do you say about music without words?
It is either interesting or boring. In this case it is not only interesting but awe-inspiring.
Moore is most impressive on "Remorse." How can he get his fingers to move that fast?
The clarity of each note is perfect and the finesse shown is technically staggering.
The bottom line here is that this is a guitar player's paradise.

Moore spent the last several years on tour with UFO. Once off the road, Vinnie took his time meticulously laying down the tracks to his newest guitar instrumental masterpiece. Choosing a very retro-contemporary rock style mixed with many other styles and influences, Moore decided he would make it a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll instrumental album. It's just Vinnie Moore, his guitar, and his raw guitar talent — all the ingredients that make this album a work of art. "The only plan I had when making this record was to do some things I have never done before," explains Vinnie. "I am into many types of music and wanted to make a record where I could just let it all pour out without limitations. I am basically a rock guy but all these other influences that filter into my music. You can hear many styles from an R&B/hip hop vibe to one that is heavy but has an indian vibe with lots of exotic percussion. I even have a couple tunes with techno elements, some funk, some blues and some bepop. Hell, there is even some motorcycles on it and I even played slide guitar on 'Jigsaw', which is fairly new for me. The common thread that ties it all together is probably the fact that it's me playing guitar through it all." |

The Guitar show began in 1984 as a weekly television show on Manhattan Cable in New York City. The show was produced and hosted by Christian Roebling. All guitar styles were presented from Jazz to Rock and Folk to Classical. The list of guitarists that appeared reads like a who's who of guitar playing. The very first Guitar Show series began with special guest Les Paul. The show was filmed on location at Fat Tuesday's in New York City.A total of 53 shows were taped. Some of the guests were Joe Pass, John Hammond, Tal Farlow, Johnny "Clyde" Copeland, Larry Coryell, Jim Hall, Paul Gilbert, Steve Morse, Bill Frisell and many others. The legendary Jimmy Page appeared on the series with Les Paul in 1985 after Led Zepplin reunited for LIve Aid. It was taped on location at Les Paul's house. "It was an incredible series that I got to meet so many of my heroes, like Jimmy Page and young incredible guitarists like Vinnie Moore. The Guitar Show was meant to have an intimate look at these guitar greats and I think we accomplished that. I believe Vinnie just won an award from Guitar Player Magazine about the best new guitar player or something to that effect. I was introduced to him from my friends at Ibanez guitars, which he was an endorser at the time. Vinnie sure could play. On the show he played (3) songs" Christian Roebling |
