Hello Tristan, heres a few items from the Oct 3 show at Tangiers.

Opening band Travis Larson band played and they were solid- great musicians all around- the bass player Jennifer - really blew the crowd away when she got to do her solo stuff. very Satriani like style and sound.

Then the main attraction - UFO stepped on stage - Opened with 'Saving me' - I was at the last years show and Phil's voice was a bit rough, either he had a cold or tore it up the night before- but this time he was hitting everything and was in great control. First time I saw him drink only water too. He sounded great all night.

Before one of the songs where Vinnie starts off with a bit of feedback - Andy had some trouble with his drum kit and wasnt there to kick in the song. They had to do a restart. I think it was 'only you can rock me' and from then on they were teasin A.Parker .
Phil Mogg said - 'if this next song fails to launch,Blame it on Andy.' thats when they did the new one 'stop breakin down-' they did that one earlier then planned on the list.
Andy was all smiles and solid all night.

Vinnie Moore got to let loose on extended solos toward the end of the night and as the virtuoso he is - was outstanding.
he shook hands and hit fists with the crowd nearest the stage a few times near the end of the night - even during one of his solos- some joker near the stage kept holding out his hand and Vinnie timed it perfectly to quickly reach out and greet the fan-he kept going with the solo without missing a hitch.

Rob De Luca was back on bass guitar this time as last year and played well- Vinnie and Rob both played behind their backs during one song. Rob has a good chemistry with these guys - I'm not surprised they asked him to fill in for Pete again.

Paul Raymond is a one man band switching from guitar to keys and doing backing vocals. Im not sure if his monitor sound wasn't right for him or he was concentrating so hard on his parts that it looked like it took him awhile to loosen up. He never missed a note- it just didn't look like he was having much fun early in the show.

As usual - UFO played very solid- with alot of energy. I was floored when they played Cherry' and 'Loser.
I didn't think I'd ever get to hear those live - and they were great! Another great show from the most under rated rock band in history.
