Concert Review

It was 19th November when UFO played in Warsaw, in club Progresja. About 400 people arrived to Progresja to see UFO this evening. I like such intimate shows, when most of people gathered in club are real fans of band. It gives guarantee, that they want to listen music, not to chat loudly and drink lots of beer. So, let's focus on music - UFO was supported by German formation The Bulletmonks. Unfortunately I was late for their gig, but I heard few very good opinions about them. I saw just last few minutes of their show and I can honestly say, that they did their job correctly. Audience was warmed up very well.

Few minutes later, Phil Mogg with friends appeared on the stage. After first tunes UFO obtained great applause from audience. From first minutes there was no bound between band and their fans, Mogg was taking a chat with audience very often, he glorified polish hospitality, polish HOT audience and of course, polish beer. Also Vinnie Moore gave as good as one gets to audience, he was still showing off his guitar tricks, for a few times he played his breathtaking riffs and solos with guitar behind his head. For few times he fooled with Rob de Luca, who was also amusing audience with his bass-show. Whole band had a very good contact with the audience this evening - reverse feedback between worked properly, each next track was played with more fantasy and ease and it seemed that playing for polish fans gave lots of fun to musicians. Mogg was running and jumping all around the stage, energy was pulsing. It was great evening spent with rock legends, who showed that they still have power and still feel the essence of rock.
